 
The Grammy and Multi Emmy winning composer has composed the music
for over 100 motion pictures and television films including, BARBARELLA, GOODBYE
COLUMBUS, SHORT CIRCUIT 2, OH GOD BOOK 2, and THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN,
for which he was nominated for Golden Globe awards for best score and best song,
and an Academy Award nomination as well for his song, “Richard's Window” sung by
Olivia Newton John. He also composed the music for NINE TO FIVE, ONE ON ONE,
TWO MINUTE WARNING and FOUL PLAY for which he received his 2nd Academy Award and
Golden Globe nominations for the Barry Manilow performed hit song, “Ready to
Take A Chance Again. For television he wrote the theme songs and scores for
such iconic TV series as: WIDE WORLD OF SPORTS, MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL, HAPPY
DAYS, LAVERNE AND SHIRLEY, WONDER WOMAN, THE LOVE BOAT and LOVE AMERICAN STYLE,
for which he won 2 Emmy Awards for best song and best score as well as 4 other
nominations for best score. Charles Fox is the first Composer to have an item
from his career inducted in the Smithsonian Institution. The only existing 45
of the TV theme Happy Days (Used during the opening credits of the series) is
now on display next to Fonzie's famous leather jacket. Charles Fox's memoir,
entitled KILLING ME SOFTLY, MY LIFE IN MUSIC, was published in 2010 by Scarecrow
Press.
